Imperial Legates? : V

Hey all just done the stormcloaks quests and wiped out an imperial camp but the legate won't die. Is there a way to kill them?

Thats what i was wondering, I try to kill him like every other imperial but he wont die.

the three/four online wikias are vastly superior to that. from what I recall they are essential tagged, why? :shrug:

I assume the tag is to allow you to get the quests to join the empire, but those tags should be removed after you join the Stormcloaks IMO.

You have to wonder why they had Tullius/Ulfric ask you to clear out remaining holdouts when they're led by an invincible leader.
