I could really use a haircut...

Skyrim is great, although there is a lot to improve. The one thing I would really like to see... perhaps even need to see is an option to change your haircut. And other characters creator elements such as scars, etc.

I do a bit of lite-RPG, and I want an Orc character to start out as a Legion deserted (also reason why he was on his way to execution). So at the start he should look very clean and Imperial, later on I'd like to change his hair and add a beard. Perhaps even give him a scar, dead eye and at some point make him look older.

Am I the only one who feels this strong about having a barbershop/tattooshop and/or other ways to change your looks? It seems to me that if Bethesda wanted to add this then they would have done so like in Fallout 3, so hopefully others feel the same and we can get their attention.

Thank you for your time, and now I'll be going back to Skyrim.

P.S. Naturally it goes without saying that I do not have the PC version (this really is the one feature that makes me wish I had a gaming PC, mods and graphics I care little about).

I read somewhere that Bethesda is considering adding a barber feature.

It will probably be in the DLC.

I would like the option to change your hair. I would also like the option to change your dirt level, beards and face paint. That would be a great addition to the game.

Great and very easy to add.

They could do a 'thank you' DLC that is free in Q1 2012 (so only for early adopters). Just a barbershop, tattooshop or just a mirror (added to all ownable property). Basically this would greatly improve my enjoyment of the game (silly I know) but it would hardly be any work for them. Just a few NPCs with 2 or 3 lines of dialogue that opens the console command of the character creator.

That's the price to play on a console. Bethesda said they won't make minor dlc like horse armor again, so the only thing you can hope for is if they will succed in making mods accessible on consoles.

Well for me TES is all about customization, I know where you are coming from about it increasing your enjoyment from the game as it increase my enjoyment as well. If it was a tree DLC awesome. I seriously doubt they would do that. If not I would rather have it included in the first big expansion pack they promised. I do not want no pint sized DLC for this game.

Why didn't this feature make it to the game? It would add so much to role-players without much effort. It's essentially a simple console command, 'showracemenu' but without the possible bugs and wrapped in a beautiful package. *sigh*

I wouldn't want pin sized packages for 1/15 of a full game's price. However for 50 cent I would buy a babershop, that si if they actually added a whole new building and a small quest related to it as well. Stuff like the Wizard's tower for Oblivion actually did increase my game enjoyment. It was enough to make me create a whole new mage character who completed the mage guild before living in the tower. Stuff like that I would welcome, for a low price of course.

But Bethesda already said they would only do big packages. This is why I suggested making the barbershop or atleast a mirror for DLC. Nobody would then say they lied as this is just an extra freeby. I just don't want to wait till the first big DLC to make my Orc characters :'( .... And they really NEED to add such a mirror in the first DLC, I really NEED IT. I would hate to wait till february for the first DLC, only to find out I still can't change my hairstyle/tattoo/scars/etc.
