Archery bug?

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 3:19 am

Okay, so I believe that I have come across a bug/glitch with the perk 'quick draw' (can draw bows 30% faster)

I believe that even though I can draw bows faster and let more arrows launch more quickly, the distance the arrows fly is not very far, I must still hold down the right trigger (playing on Xbox360 BTW) for the same time with out the perk to get the arrow to go the distance. Its like the arrow only goes as far fully drawn with quick draw as 70% without it. Anyone else got this or noticed it? and if so does bethesda now about it.

add it to a modder bug list,a modder will sort it out in no time.

i suspect the first huge mod will be exactly that,a massive bugfix.

remember,tip your modders

Can we expect Bethesda to patch this in the future?

even with the perk you still have to fully draw the bow string back. at first, i thought boy now i can shoot alot faster and ended up releasing before the bow was fully drawn. i think our expectations were too high and we expect to almost be like a gattling gun firing arrows. you'll learn to adapt. with the perk (and the stagger perk), i can take down any single foe before they get to me.

I gotta say, I have noticed this as well.
I have only recently unlocked the perk and I am missing shots that I SWEAR i would normally be hitting. (I was missing a mammoth over and over again last night)
I didn't think of it being related to the perk, but it makes sense

I honestly don't think it is meant to be like that. It's rather confusing and a waste of a perk. I think It's just a oversight by beth or maybe a bug. Do people at Bethesda go through these forums? I feel that they should be aware or C/D if it is meant to be like that.

This...

and to me it was one of the best perks for an archer.
