Is it just me or have some races life span changed?

Haven't you talked to him in Skyrim? "M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, that's what he said."

M'aiq also said something like "M'aiq does noe remember his childhood" implying that he has lived for a long time and forgotten his past.

Well it was a skeleton, but fair enough.

Wait what?
When I found him he was a regular corpse. :cryvaultboy:

Divayth Fyr is probably dead now, since if you've been to the pride of the Tel Vos
Spoiler
The guy in Riften is the last of the Telvanni

Spoiler

Don't know about that guy in Riften, but one of the students in the college of winterhold is a Telvanni. Besides, Telvanni territory was out of the reach of both the red montain eruption and the Argonian invasion. There is no reason for even having their power diminished.

Maybe M'aiq meant that there were no beast children in the game.

And I also found Sinderion as a skeleton.

The Dunmer girl at the College of Winterhold is a Telvanni. As are her parents that arranged for her to attend the College.

Spoiler

I think the guy in Riften is a liar.

Divayth Fyr has a certain artifact that will let him to teleport into a small Oblivion realm....so he had a quick escapse route when Red mountain went up.

For all we know, he escaped with his daughters and yagrum and has found he way to a new seculded place in Tamriel. Lets face it, his biggest work at the time was curing corprus, now that its not an issue....he would have moved onto more things.

Mannimarco is a necromancer though, necromancy would appear to be the most effective way to prolong your life and can potentially make you immortal.

He is also a god.
He orbits Arkay.

The merish races have a natural longer lifespan than the human races.
Altmer can live naturally for a ridiculously long time, their resistance to disease, magical aptitude and elven blood ensure that they seem capable of living practically forever, bar violence or dying due to 'giving up'.
While a Dunmer peasant living a harsh life can expect to reach 100-150 years, people of noble blood with a more sheltered life can live a lot longer.
Barenziah for instance was born in the second era, and we last saw her around the ending of the third, in Tribunal.

According to books he uses realms created by a telvanni wizard long ago. He traversed many realms of oblivion as well.

According to one of his "daughters" he is 4000 years old.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Divayth_Fyr

Though I wonder if its even possible for him to die from natural cause. If not hes going to be around til the end of time unless someone can actually kill him... minus your Morrowind character. Killing old wizards for daeric armor is a no-no :nono: :nono:

Aww, but I want that shiny armor!
