Are there any items have have a permanent detect life function? Like a permanent Aura Whisper function? The contrast in color for many mobs is just not great enough to allow me to discern it from the background. It's situational, but many, many times there is no way to change the situation. I was staring right at a bandit, that I knew was there, but couldn't see it. This happens allot.

I can use the Aura Whisper shout...but that fades before I can really look all around. And I need something that is always on. Like in Oblivion. Oblivion gate stones dropped all the time, to enchant something with detect life. Please tell me if there are some items, or some way to enchant this on an item.

I have a damaged optic nerve from multiple sclerosis, that amounts to some really very minor vision problems. I can play the game, but often I just run straight into mobs I can't see. If they glowed, I could see them. Now I have to reload, after dying, and try to see where they are with Aura Whisper, that svcks.

Simply "being careful" doesn't work. I'm being as careful as anyone could be. I can't see the thing I'm staring at. In Oblivion this was never a problem, because you could make everything that moved, glow with detect life items.

If there are those that think it's overpowered for the computer-controlled AI, to not be able to hide from you, then they don't have to use it. And It would make the game much more playable for me. And anyway, it was like that in Oblivion.

My sight svcks in real-life, why does it have to be a problem in an easily controllable 3d environment? Especially since it wasn't before, in Oblivion. Just that tiny little difference, that everyone else wouldn't have to partake in, if they didn't want to.

I'm pretty sure that there isn't. I've played 150 hours and haven't come across a single item that has a detect life enchantment. :sadvaultboy:
Which is pretty lame considering that you can make Waterbreathing enchantments.

These items need to be on the enchantment list:
Detect Life
Detect Dead
Mage Armor
Night Eye (there isn't even a ****ing SPELL for this anymore!)

I think there is a dragon shout to detect life. I have not found the wall for it yet.

Sounds like what you need is a texture mod to make characters stand out more. Maybe bright colored clothing instead of the brown and, well, more brown. I don't think there are any right now. Post a request in the mod forum.
