Hi guys,

can anyone tell me how much of the main quest do I need to complete in order for dragons to start randomly spawning?

Finally getting this game next week and can't wait to see if the wit has been worth it.

I would say a few at the most, not sure on how accurate that is though, I try to save the main quest line for last, I've only done a handful of main quests and I see dragons all over the place.

You've got to defeat your first dragon. Once you do that, they start.

Once you've killed your first dragon you can stop the main quest.

About half way through Act I, where you give the tablet to the mage in Whiterun. After that they start popping up everywhere.

The game will guide you to Whiterun (though you don't have to go). Once you talk the Jarl, you'll be given a quest. Completing that quest will activate the dragons.

You can do it as soon or as late as you want.

Helgen -> Riverwood -> Winterrun -> High Hrothgar -> Radiant Dunguen Run -> Riverwood -> Kynesgrove

Sorry they start spawning long before Kynesgrove quest. They start spawning like mad cliff racers after the first dragon near Whiterun and you become thane.
