Just been looking on USEP and I can't seem to find one, is there not one in this game?

Are you looking for the enchantment, or the spell? The Absorb Health enchantment is fairly rare, but can be found randomly in shopkeeper's goods for sale, and also on the Blade of Woe.
The Absorb Health spell is only available to vampires, unfortunately, and cannot be carried over once cured of vampirism. Still that's not much of a loss, since it's very weak, sort of like Flames, but costs more mana, and deals less damage per second. If the spell was any stronger, though, it would be one of the only offensive spells in the game anyone would use, unless they were proper role-players.

Yeah I was looking for the spell as I liked using it in Oblivion, speaking up and boom! Absorb health on touch. Shame not interested in becoming a Vamp.

Yeah, now when playing a char inflicted with vampirism, the spell acts like Flames, Sparks, or the frost-based spell (essentially, like a flamethrower :flamethrower: ). So no massive amount of damage can be dealt using it except over a very long period of time, and it cannot be used like other Destruction spells in that it has no other version of it, like a version that automatically absorbs 40 points of health in one shot. So, if you have no interest in playing a vampire character, don't waste your time on getting (and keeping) vampirism.

any fairly easy way to get the drain health enchantment is to do the thiefs guilds quests, near to the end you can get your hands on a sword with the effect
