I came to the companion stronghold & Khodlac was dead.
There was talk about revenge from Vilkas - BUT no quest offered.
Was SUPPOSED to be Purity of Revenge says the guide but never has been offered.
No I haven't cleared Driftshade Refuge until just now out of desperation but no fragments found.
I need help. I read this is bugged but has anyone else found this happening? i LOVE the Companion quests!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

I got it - loaded savegame b4 i cleared driftshade - snuck in got helm for winterhold jarl turned it in, went to winterhold turned it in - went to companions, did a console command to activate Purity Of Revenge & the Companions Guild is now active again

I had this problem too. I play on Xbox so I couldn't use a console command. I loaded a previous save (from right after I left the cave for Blood's Honor BEFORE you've gone back to Winterhold). Then I went to Driftshade Refuge, asked my companion to wait outside and ran through and grabbed the helm of Winterhold and ran back out without killing anyone. Then I gave the helm to the Jarl in Winterhold and it worked.
