REAL TALK: Bugs, Glitches, and Greatness

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 6:18 pm

My first few posts on here, I was ranting and raving; I was being belligerent over the many bugs that infest this glitchy, and great game.

Patch 1.3 was released, I got excited, then I read all the reports on the new problems it's introducing, and old problems it didn't fix.

I was going to take it out on my keyboard and post my renewed displeasure, but I came upon a thread where someone was asking whether they should get the game or not, and my immediate reaction was "of course you should."

This game is like the dog that s---ts on the carpet; you want to rip your hair out when you come across the problems it creates, but at the end of the day you find you can't stay mad at it because you love it so much.

The reason I get so upset, and so angry is because I DO love this game so much, and as dramatic as it may sound to some, it just hurts a lot to be disappointed by something you hold in such high regard; my anger isn't born of some elitist programmer slave-driver mentality, it comes from my deep excitement and longing to want to enjoy the game fully without any problems.

I do understand, the complexity of this games programming, and that when you attempt to alter code in one spot, you simultaneously may alter code in another -- sort of like the sliders in Oblivion (sorry, I know that was cheap) -- but this is why I wish they would have tested it a little more thoroughly than have rushed to release it.

So what a testament it is to say, that with all the problems, the bugs, and glitches, this is still the best game I have ever played -- I believe anyway. If the developers read these forums, I would like them to know that, even from myself -- one of the angriest, most unforgiving of your customers -- that I still have so much genuine and sincere appreciation for this game despite all the problems, and I'm sure many others feel the same as well. I just hope these issues start to clear themselves up soon, and at a point in the near future, become non-existent.

My point is, as one of the most "irate gamers" on this forum, this game is still a masterpiece no matter how angry it makes me.

I don't say this often, but...
