I think a very surprising one was killing a dragon with 4 ppl at really really low level when the other dragon killed the whole friggin town. I thought killing a dragon would be a VERY hard thing to do then I did it at what lvl 6? When you an the four or five others go out to the fort to kill it I was thinking it would be a show of what happens to overconfident idiots an Id be dragging the leader's corpse back to town. Imagine my surprise when we killed it O.o

"I think what Beth were going for with this change was allowing the player to take anyone and make them anything. Removing as much potentially damning choices as possible, so that 10+ hours into Your character You aren't sat there regretting the choices You made. At least with the sacrifice of structure, You can find full enjoyment in the Character that You've chosen. Want a Rogue? Make a Rogue, Want a Spellsword? Make a Spellsword.

And I would also like to note that 'Wrong Birthsign? Change it at the Stone' sounds a lot more appealing than 'Wrong Birthsign? Start over.' "

Yeah thats a lot of the "we wanna make it so more people have more choices and more playstyles can be free" yet they destroy effectively my favorite playstyle in favor of that. Sorry, cant say as I like that much. Im still playing it, but its just something Im finding quite annoying about this one. Ive been finding myself giving thought to reinstalling morrowind and oblivion actually.

and lack of unlock spells (which I didnt know didnt exist till reading this thread)

I'm divided between the generally poor/bland quests with few interesting ones, and the new perk system, which I think has been poorly implemented and is merely a substitute for the skill system of previous games, offering a false choice where you have to pick certain perks if you want to remain at all effective or viable.
