Why do they keep putting the scratchy Dunmer voice in the de

It happened with both the Oblivion and Skyrim demos. I think they just like torturing the fans of the MW voice. I bet they think it's really funny.

I was wondering about this as well?

The dunmer all seem to have a british voice in this one, which doesn't fit very well in my opinion.

Because Dunmer voices really hurt the throat.

Bethesda doesn't want to hurt the actor's voice, that's their money-maker.

misinformation.

and I'd half expect it to be a (censa)ish Move as well

think about, who honestly of the massive number of peeps that started with Oblivion and never touched Morrowind or the massive amount of new fans would even know/care what the Dunmer sound like? they didnt have to do that in E3 but they did.

why?

for lulz I guess.

Although, I was a little disappointed at the lack of raspy voices, the voice in Skyrim has grown on me a little. It's definitely better than the monstrosity in Oblivion.

I could swear the Draugr are voiced by the guy who does the raspy voices.

Only if you do it wrong. Same thing with the Ghoul voice from Fallout. If you're doing a gluttal fry (The effect that makes you sound like that) and it's hurting your throat, you are doing it wrong. I could talk like a ghoul for hours on end just fine.

Damn I do wish they kept those voices back. I think they did it as subtle reinforcement for older fans into thinking this game was going to hearken back to the Morrowind days.

So many PR lies. Did they start taking pointers from Lionhead studios or something?

Oh yeah they started doing that with Oblivion. Remember radiant AI? At least they has a legitimate reason to pull that out of Oblivion.
