Which is your (Favourite) Home?

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 11:20 am

You'll notice while there is other places you can call home.
http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Houses_%28Skyrim%29

I didn't include them all, since any spouse you choose can't live there, so it was a realistic exclusion.

While Whiterun might be a common first home for many, I'd like to see who have ventured past it and have found they moved elsewhere?

I only have 2 houses. Breezehome and Proudspire Manor. I voted Breezehome for personal reasons.

I just bought Proudspire Manor today, and started decorating. It is huge and I love the layout. Although, I cant vote against my very first home, Breezehome. Ive spent dozens of hours decorating, and it is immaculate now and jam packed with many treasures and unique items placed in unique areas. I'm actually in the middle of moving items from my Breezehome chests into Proudspire. Long process, though I am using fast travel just for this kind of occasion. Its gonna be a long time before I get Proudspire to my liking as it is so huge.

I'm looking into Vindrel Hall as I love Markarth's design but it has a level cap and costs a bit and my current PC doesn't meet those requirements and I don't want to use the PC that does. But yeah, Markarth all the way.

I really like the look of Windhelm, It's also pretty damn big. I'm about to make the move, infact.
But so far breezehome has the added bonus of having everything but the enchanting table right all in small area.
Nice for those who like to craft things... all kinds of things.

That is a shame, if using the console is an option, it can fix some of the bugs as I understand.

Whiterun for it's proximity to the blacksmith.

Solitude for how it looks.

Those are the only two I bought actually.

I've only just got solitude. I admit it is a beautiful place.

My current character lives in Riften. The place isn't all that big, but it fits the purpose. Having a lot of 'business' in Riften, it's the best choice, really. Naturally, he spends most of his time, however, in and around the Ragged Flagon.

Option B, I prefer alternative housing in these games, because I like living in the wilderness. There should be some homes outside of cities I think :(

If you want to move it all in one go, you can just lug it all to the coach guy and coach your way to Solitude. I don't think there is any restriction on getting a coach while overloaded.

I still own only Breezehome, but I can't leave it... upstairs on the weapon rack in the loft is my Axe of Whiterun, then above my bed is Dawnbreaker crossed with a Lunar Ebony sword, and the daedric shield from whichever Daedra quest that was.

Is there a list with all the possible mates? Really I'm only interested if I can get Vex or Saadia.

Vindrel Hall, by a long shot. I hate, hate, HATE the location, though! Both the location of the city, and the location of the house within the city. The inside of the home, once it's been fully furnished though, just absolutely blows everything else away for pure aesthetics.

For convenience, nothing beats Breezhome- right by the gate of the city, and right next to a full service forge. The only missing is an arcane enchanter, but that is easily fixed with mods. It's just so SMALL though.

Proudspire looks nice, but it just seems impersonal. I guess there's such a thing (for some people anyway) as TOO big. I haven't bought it yet, but I will eventually. Maybe I will grow to love it.

My favorate to! :foodndrink:

I own three houses. Whiterun, Windhelm, and Markarth. Problem is I'm playing on PS3 so nothing works(manequins, bookcases, racks) in my houses unfortunately. Not a fan of the layout in Windhelm house.
Spoiler
Seating kinda svcks, and no storage containers in the Alchemy/Enchantment room. Only bookcases and weapon mounts  .

I bought Breezhome and Honeyside and prefer Breezehome for it's proximity to the smithing equipment. Like other have said if the Enchanting table was there it would be ideal.
