I finished the main quest... and several of the side quest lines....
I really enjoyed the game, but there is an aspect of the game that I feel was completely missed by Bethesda: weapons.
I play video / computer since Zelda Nes, Atari, Amiga, then PC... dungeon master, eyes of the beholder, Drakken, lands of lore and the like.... what you had in all these role playing games was character progression, but also weapon progression. During your adventure you always found better weapons and armor you were happy to equip with.
NOTHING like this in Skyrim: I got Whuutaard ax (not sure about spelling) very early in the game, and NEVER found better weapon in all game. Even the weapon given when resolving quests were all inferior most of the time, this aspect of role playing: weapon progression was completely absent.
Blacksmithing: ok I know you can blacksmith, but I didn't want, nor had time to engage in this: i'm playing a pure warrior, and I put all my perks in blocking, dual weapons, and heavy armor, and i'm far from having completing all these branch to take care of smithing.
That's my main disappointment in the game.
