Moderate Spoilers----> So as the game has shaped up, The Thalmor have become the the arch-antagonists of Tamriel after Alduin. But as a person who can never really seem to start a non-elf character I say that I am extremely disappointed with this turn of events. I completely sympathize with the Thalmor and the motives of The Aldmeri Dominion. I think that it is horrible that the men of Tamriel have forced the worship of the figure that stole their independence. The Summerset Isles, Valenwood, or Morrowind have not have any time of prosper since Tiber Septim called the lands his. That is, after him and his ancestors exterminated, not one, but two races of Mer (The Alieds and the Falmer). Also, the worship of so called, Talos, is ridiculous. I believe the argument put forward in "The Talos Mistake" shows why. I would like to add to that, what makes Talos so special? There were plenty of Dragonborne throughout history but he is the only one worshiped. So what sets him apart from say, Ysgrimmor. His worship was nothing but a propaganda of the empire set forth by the Blades. I really don't think that the races of mer would start worshiping some man as a god, even if he conquered all of Tamriel. So setting forth my believes, I just fell I am left is a tiny minority of RP players who want to fight for The Thalmor, but on see them consistently demoralized by the people of this game.
What is the communities thoughts? Do I have a point in wanting to fight for The Thalmor, or am I just going against what this fantasy story is?
