Im playing a spellsword or battlemage? i dont know which is which, but my guy uses one handed weapons and spells in his left hand. I am level 52 atm, and to be honest I am tired of pausing the game everytime I want to block. I know I can assign a sheild to a hotkey and block that way, but being a caster I think it would be more fun and challenging to perfect ward timing to block that way. (I know wards dont block weapons like shields do, but thats a good thing because block is too good. Also block with a ward fits my character more then blocking with a sheild)

So the questions I have are:

1 How effective are wards pass level 50?

2 Do they suffer from the same scaling problems as destruction?

3 Do the casters scale to be able to one hit my ward?

4 Also how much melee damage does the 40 armor rating of the ward "block"?
