Black screen with music after loading?



You'll eventually get a quest in Freeside that wants you to track down a certain individual and bring back his hat. If you kill him in the strip and take the hat, then enter the Gamorrah, you won't be able to leave unless you're wearing the hat. Otherwise, the game will just give you a black screen with music every time you try and exit. I just realized last night that the same black screen while entering the North Gate to the Strip is linked to that hat as well. If you have the hat in your possession, DON'T complete the quest by giving the hat up.

If you do finish the quest you can buy an old cobow hat at two places(one is in freeside down from the old mormon fort and the other is the red cavarn area just ouside of new vegas).
