Altmer are pretty quick I have an Altmer character. Khajiit seem pretty quick too. I wonder if Argonians are.

Technically if you want you Khajiit to run faster than a nord (like I think it should) you can enter into the console:

player.setav SpeedMult
or
player.modav SpeedMult

SETav will set the speed multiplier at a specific number while MODav will add to the existing number. I highly suggest a very slight increase, so as to not break the game. Faster than npc's ok, faster than a horse? Not so much.

So what is the default speedmult value?

The Prima guide states that Khajiits run at a slightly faster pace than the other races, I don't know if this is reflected in you study it didn't look like you included them

This isn't a big deal but it stands testament to why people complained when so many stats and skills ie athletics were taken out of the game. Go anywhere do anything is a lie, another aspect of elder scrolls taken out of the player hands.

You need to test Bretons aswell, they're smaller than Imperials.

Actually, male Bretons are the same size as Imperials but females are 5% smaller.

This whole thing is very sad IMO. Base damage/speed on height? And then apply an arbitrary scale nerfing characters (thinking breton female) up to 5% below par just because?
Wow I thought sentient and reasonable advlts had designed every aspect of the game.
Helps to prove that simplifying (removing http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Attributes things) does not mean improving. Just saying.

Well, at least we know from the earlier post that height doesn't affect damage output unless you manually mess with it using console commands. But what annoys me is that my favorite character to play is a male bosmer because he's supposed to be one of the fastest and most nimble races, and that's how I roleplay him. Now it's annoying as hell that he's the slowest male when the lore states that bosmer are supposed to be quick. I might be crazy, but I can't stand my wood elf now after trying a breton out because he actually seems slow compared. I honestly wish I never saw this stupid thread, it's ruining my favorite character for me D:

player.setscale .2 is hilarious. Your whirlwind sprint makes you go about 5 feet. And everybody that stops to talk to you is looking down at a little mouse sized person at their feet.

Conversely, if you use player.setscale 10 then you can't use the whirlwind sprint at all because you travel so far that you crash the game. A normal jump also makes you jump so high that you die from fall damage when you land.

i've noticed people in other forums and such keep saying altmer are the fastest and strongest and MALE BOSMER are the slowest/weakest because of their heights.

male bosmer- .98
female breton- .95
female khajiit- .95

looks like some people can't do simple math.

i take offense to this because i'm a bosmer!!! >:(

but regardless its pretty cruel that bethesda decides to put in a hidden stat that makes no sense (a skinny altmer is stronger than a buff orc? i'm 3 or 4 inches taller than my brother but he has a bunch of muscle and im pretty skinny, i doubt i could beat him in an arm wrestle), and then doesn't tell anyone about it.
