Hey I just got all four DLCs. I want to play them at my own pace and don't want four new quests clogging up my quest log. Can I install say old world blues first then the rest later when I feel like playing them?

Im asking because of things like new items and ingredients... are the foods and other items only available when you have visited the locations or are the new recipes and ingredients added to the vanilla game when you install the DLC?

So say I start a new game and I have all DLC installed... will new items appear in the vanilla game? or are the ingredients available in DLC locations?
