A noobies impression. Skyrim: My first ES game.

Well this is my first post here at the Skyrim forums, which goes hand in hand with the fact that Skyrim is the first RPG game that I have ever owned in the past 10 years. I've never played an Elder Scrolls game before, but I was quite inspired to come into these forums and share what I think as my first post here.

I will start off with an introduction. I'm fro, an avid Gears of War player. I have been playing that game ever since Gears 1 and nothing else really after that. Gears of War 3 was in a sense, disappointing as it was heavily geared toward newer players and it didn't give the same feeling as the other 2. It's still a good game, but I decided to try something else this time. So, I bought Skyrim (it was heavily hyped and well I'm a svcker for hype). I chose this game because after seeing a few videos, I thought this would be a good relaxing getaway from all the online B.S. that happens in Gears of war.

So far, after getting the game early December I have spent 60 hours or so into this game. I'm only a level 32, but I gotta say this game is incredible. I never really thought I would enjoy a game like this so much. It's just so rewarding and relaxing and it really brings a different vibe. I'm a redguard, and I love the close quarters combat. I hope to get my magic stronger tho.

The way this game looks, feels, and plays is quite great. I have gotten used to saving the game often just in case of any game-breaking glitches, tho I have ran into any yet (knock on wood). I'm quite the fan of the two-handed weapons. Is it odd that I have never used a shield in this game? I play on adept, since that would give me enough of a challenge for my first experience.

Long story short, this game is a breathe of fresh air and I hope to be around for DLC's and updates and to experience it with you all. Thanks!
