For some reason I am wanted in Markath and I cant figure out why. I fast traveled there once, went inside, and was confronted by a guard. There wasn't an option to pay off my bounty. My choices were 1) I've been framed, 2) Take me to jail, and 3) I'd rather die. I went with 2 and just planned to wait it out while I got myself some food. The guard then told me that no one escapes Cidna mine(which, I've already completed the Cidna mine quests and that may be what is causing the problem, not sure really). I expected to be teleported into jail with none of my armor or items but instead, another chat pane popped up with "What's the problem?" I thought it was odd but maybe it was part of a quest that I didn't realize I was on or something. So I simply selected that and then the guard told me I was under arrest again and the original 3 choices popped up again. Well, this time I decided to pick the first option, I've been framed, and see what happens. The same thing happened... the only way to get out of the infinite loop I was in was to either select "I'd rather die", or simply quit the conversation and have to fight off the guards anyways.

In the end, I killed probably 20 or so guards trying to escape the city. Now whenever I go back the same thing happens. I was trying to talk to Calcemo for one quest and actually ended up attacking him on accident because some guards snuck up on me. Now I'm stuck with him considering me hostile and I cant figure out a way to fix the whole situation.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this and how I can fix it? I'm stuck...

This is something that we're all having problems with., I think. If anyone has a solution, please share it

It's the quest in markarth. The one with the forsworn and all that, just say your framed and complete it.

Foresworn Conspiracy? is it really as simple as that? I did think that maybe it had something to do with that.

D'jinn would suggest reloading from an old save and trying again, saying that you have been framed from the start. She has had to do the same thing for some bugged quests.

It's the 'No One Escapes Cidhna Mine' quest that triggers this.

The only thing that I could get to work was to use the console command "paycrimegold". Nothing else seemed to stop them from attacking me. Unfortunately, now that I have continued the quest, the quest seems bugged. I gave the poem to Faleen, and then her letter to Calcemo but it isn't updating. It still says that I need to give them letter to Calcemo even though I'm watching him run to Solitude to talk to Faleen...
