Poison vs. Potion? Names?

Being a web develper and DB designer by profession, I figured I'd knock together a "Skyrim Alchemy Workbench" web app.

I've got the meat of the info determined (Including a DB with all 1244 2 ingredient recipes ; 3 ingredients coming up soon) but have a few issues:

1) How is it determined if a recipe results in a poison or potion? My impression is that if the recipe has 2 ingredients that share a harmful effect, its a poison. However, that makes the "removes harmful effects from potions" part of the Purity perk 100% meaningless, as there is no such thing as a potion with a harmful effect...

2) More difficult, if you have a potion (or poison) with multiple beneficial (harmful) effects, how is the "name effect" determined from among those?

3) How are the strengths / durations of effects calculated?

4) Whats the formula for the value of a potion? I'm guessing its pretty complex and varies with ingredients and effects, but since my system s actually cataloging every recipe in a DB, its possible I could find the "base value" for every recipe, and adjust that "on the fly" based on user selected skill level & perks...

5) Is it khosher if I swipe the "Drgonborn" background on this site for some page deco? I've got a full credits page set up, is there an artist I should credit for that (and the "driagon diamond" logo), or just "Bethesda"?

(Yeah, I know there's a number of Skyrim Alchemy calculators etc out there already. I aim to make mine stand out in terms of design, usability, functions, and depth. So far the first 3 are a good bet. This is literally something that I will be using to sell myself as a web developer in professional interviews.)
