I just realized that you can level your magic skills even when casting with a staff, without actually casting a spell you know yourself. Seeing as how I could fill Scrooge MacDuck's money bin with filled soul gems and I have more carrying capacity than I know what to do with, is there any reason not to cast with a staff when I feel like casting? (Like, does it not benefit from dual casting or other perks?)
