a new skill

i want to make a profession mod i know it would require editing global settings
but have questions
#1 what do i edit?
#2 how would i edit it?
#3 what side effects might come from doing this?
ohh forgot to tell the professions would be like wow's herbilism woodcutting of course it "the more you do it the better you get"plus a little more
if this is wrong place please move it thnx

I seem to re4member a mod that does mining skills with a book that tells you your skill level sorry I can't really help but I do think that you can't add the skill into the list like the others are...

HEY i think im on to sonething here the scripts set spell is made what i did is went into settings modified unarmored and renamed it gathering i never use the skill anyway altho it will make a big exploit to the mod. i also set chance to avoid hit to 0 so the skill wont do anything but act as a reference guide for the herbs

Ill be right back tell you if it works

nevermind it changed the name in game but doesnt cast the spell or add stat point heres script maby someone will see something i missed
