How sad is it when Crysis 2 on steam costs $10 dollars because of how the PC community turned it's back on Crytek and decided to steal the game. On consoles a digital copy of Crysis 2 is $40. It's the console players that are keeping Crysis alive by actually PAYING for it.
Piracy is bad, but AT LEAST the 2nd and 3rd most pirated games were successful at retail. Modern Warfare 3 at #2 most pirated and Battlefield 3 at #3rd most pirated. Crysis 2 suffered tremendously from illegal downloading, more so than Infinity Ward or Dice, because of lackluster sales. In the end these three developers should have been paid more than they made because of illegal downloads, but Crysis 2's amount of illegal downloads surpasses it's amount of sales.
There you have it, the PC community turned it's back on it's most delightful gem.
