Crysis 2 Free from EA Vs. Retail

As most of us know already EA support likes to give you games for free if you've complained. I got banned for 72 hours from BF3's Battlelog, and the game. I didn't understand why I would be unable to go online and just not access the forums.

The support guy was kind enough to give me a code for Crysis 2's Single-Player (I don't like the MP. Prefer Crysis Wars) and I notice that the game is very choppy.

It's not very consistent and tends to lag out depending where I am, what I'm looking at, etc..

Using DX11 gives off insane amount of screen tear. Manually setting Vsync through the user.cfg does nothing, and neither does forcing it through CCC.

ASUS HD 6970
8GB Kingston HyperX

I'm more then able to run this game at Ultra settings without having any problems. So what's the deal? Is this free redeem code some sort of early build? Can it not be properly patched? Is buying the retail copy off Origin more stable?

Considering the fact that Warhead looks better then Crysis 2, and I can max out Warhead and get 50 frames minimum... I don't get it?

Long story short - Would buying the full game resolve these issues? Will it run more smoothly.
