Unable to disenable d HR Pack?

Post » Thu Mar 15, 2012 10:12 pm

Hey people,
like most of you, I've downloaded the HR Pack and the DX11 and installed them.

The problem is, my multiplayer is ruined (huge performance crash), so I wanted to disenable teh HR Pack.

I go to the Options menu and I disenable the HR Pack. The game ask me to restart, so I do.
When I restar, the HR Pack is once again enabled...

What can I do to get rid of it???

Cumps,

If you want to delete HR pack, I think, you need to open \Crysis 2\patch\ foulder and delete pack file TexturesHighRes.pak.

Go to the game.cfg --> open it --> change the line r_UseHighResTextures = 1 to =0......please note that "UseHighResTextures" probably isn't the right command, but I can't look how it's named at the moment, since I'm writing this from my netbook....but if you look into the game.cfg, the name of that command tells you clearly that it enables the high-res textures.

Btw, in this file you can also enable/disable DX11, if the options menue doesn't work....

EDIT: Am I mistaking and I originally think about the system.cfg?

I don't know, I have DX10.1 video card so I install only hi res texture pack, that's why I know how to delete it.

You just delete the file named "DX11.pak" in the "patch/" folder.
As easy as that. :-)
