How many people are usually on? : Crysis

I have been wanting to get crysis 2 for a while but never got around to it. Today I read that it would be on sale for $10 on Amazon next week. How many players are usually on? Are there usually at least 6 or 7 full servers running? Will multiplayer still be active 6 months from now? Also, will I be missing out if I don't get the map packs?
