My first freeze experience

Firstly, I am form Germany, please excuse my lack of English skills.

I have a PS3, 80GB (FAT) - a clean baby with no other game or save game data on hdd, FNV ist the UK version.

I just installed FNV without applying the patch 1.01.

After creating my character and leaving Doc's home, I went straight to the general store in Goodsprings to sell some of the stuff I picked up from the Doc.
The barter menu started and I began selling my stuff, after selling about twenty+ items the game freezed within the barter menu. The music was playing for a little while then the sound was completly of. I pressed any button of my controller - nothing happened. I had to reset my PS3.
I turned of the connection to the internet/mediaserver: Still the same crash.

Then I installed the Patch 1.01.
Nothing changed, the crash was absolutely reproduceable. No influences of being online or not. Even starting a new game did not change anything. I simply can't sell my items in the store.

How can an armada of about 300 beta testers did notice that?

That sounds like my problem, but I don't get far enough to sell anything. It locks as soon as the second sentence appears on the screen. I can talk to most people reliably, just not Chet (the guy at the store) and a few others.
