Getting about 32fps on Crysis 2 using about 1800mb ram on a GTX 680 @2560x1600.
I have a i7 920 on stock clocks.. waiting for Ivy Bridge to come out.. keeps getting delayed

I have the High Res Pack and Dx 11.. all settings MAXXED

does this sound about right? How do I tell if my CPU is a bottleneck

I don't know. Ask EVGASkydive. He has 4 gtx 580 and his screen has that res I guess. You can ask him for a comparison or try to search in google for it

Well I dropped Motion Blur to Disabled from high, and Ultra down to Extreme on all advanced settings and got about 8-10fps on average and sometimes 20fps jump...

my gpu runs at about 80-90% utilization according to msi afterburner... at Ultra it was running higher...

Does this mean the CPU is not a bottleneck.. I've always been told or read that the GPU is the most important.. and I've also seen many benchmarks where the top end $1,000+ cpu's showed little gain over the $300 ones INTEL as far as videogames go...

Photoshop/Lightwave/3dsmax all utilize more threads more efficiently

My 680 is an EVGA card, I wish they had made them 3GB though.. already maxing out the ram at times

It depends. I'm not a hardware pro but a cpu can weak a gpu cos it's not strong enough. The gpu won't reach its actual possible potential then. I do have this problem cos my cpu is ****. But I guess your cpu is strong enough.

Those figures look exactly as they should be.

Even a GTX680 is gonna be pushed by running Crysis 2 absolutely maxxed as 2560x1600.
