I have a retail copy of Crysis 2 for PC that I just installed for the first time
a few days ago. It says I now have 4 out of 5 activations left.
My question is: if I re-install Windows and then re-install Crysis 2
on the same computer, will I lose an activation?
Or will the activation software recognize that I am installing the game
on the same system?
I tend to re-install Windows a few times a year, and my concern is
that I will end up using up all my activations within a year.


What if I upgrade to a new graphics card, will that lead the activation
software to think it is a new system? I am worried I could lose
an activation that way too.

* run activation.exe in your ..\Crysis 2\bin32 folder to DEACTIVATE the game install before you re-install windows.

* A new graphics card wont trigger the use of an activation, but a new or formatted HDD will. Not sure about processor.
