Using Requiem for the Capital Wasteland with Project NevadaW

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 1:11 am

Hey guys! I've played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas on 360 for a long time. I've recently bought Fallout 3 for PC and modified it (although not using Wanderers Edition yet). I decided to look around the New Vegas mods, and noticed Requiem for the Capital Wasteland. It's an impressive project that I'd definitely like to adopt.

My question is (not owning New Vegas yet, so I can't just test) how would I get these two major gameplay alteration mods to play nice? Would Project Nevada cover everything as it's all done through New Vegas, or will I need aspects of both to get things working consistently across both wastelands?

Thank you for any help.

FO3 mods only work in a Requiem'd NV if the mod is not dependant on FOSE being installed.
Unfortunately FOWE comes under the dependant group.

Investigations are underway to try and fix this however. I personally would really like to try Mothership Zeta Crew mod in NV, but can't due to same problem.

Keep checking Requiem and NVSE updates for a fix. That's what I'm doing

Thanks for the info. I wasn't aware it was as simple as that. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on those two. I think I may just stick to Fallout 3 for the moment (get it playing really well) until those are sorted, and then buy New Vegas and Requiem it.

FOSE will never run under RCFW. NVSE is the FNV version of FOSE. The only fix is to recompile every script in FWE with the FNV NVSE editor. That's just to start. Then resolve whatever needs to be resolved as far as incompatibilities/missing things between FNV and FWE. There's not going to be a quick fix on the RFCW side for this, ever. Any FOSE mod, and especially complex mods, will need to be re-worked by someone in order to function properly.

So it'll probably be easier to hand pick non-FOSE mods that replicate Project Nevada functions on FO3 items. Not as clean, but once you start playing (and configure everything right) it won't feel too jarring.
