protectrons

ok, i decided to just goof off before going to rivet city, and I went to canterbury commons. I decided to deal with the problem by killing both of them at once in one battle with a mini nuke, and took their stuff. now, as i am going to the mothership zeta mission, I am seeing A LOT more protectrons than normal. (i have done the mothership zeta on another save game and didnt see any) now so far, I have seen 3 while leaving the commons, and 2(..no, make that 3 now) along the way. does killing the mechanist cause a crap-ton of robots to go on like a search and destroy mission on you?

Nope. You just happened to pull a 'robot' draw of the hat. I've had it happen in the north to me, only replace robot with Deathclaw. :stare:

Yao Guai. I'm a level 9, and i found one near "reclining groves" good thing Dogmeat was with me to distract it while i hit it with a sawn off. took about 4 good hits. (small guns 35, and bloody mess perk help too)

where you have protectrons, i have sentry bots.

where you have yao gui, i have albino scorps

where you have glowing ones, i have reavers.

where you have masters, i have overlords.

i have the harder life.

anyway, luck on the draw on that one, like the luck of the draw of that sentry bot army...

it actully happened to me, but instead of protectron i had sentry bots.

Think Yogi's, as in smarter than the average park ranger. Unfortunately they cannot be distracted with a picnic basket. ;) That's how I remember the name.

Actually, its all based on your level and LUCK!!!. i made a character that had 9 int, 9 str, 9 agil. and 1 luck. (i do only 9 sothat when i find the bobblehead, it will effect my stats. cuz if it is naturally 10, then it wont go any higher from the bobblehead.) i was meeting deathclaws and enclave (*shrugs* i dont get it either) at level 3 and 4. Ammo boxes only held like 5 or 6 rounds on average. med kits rarely had stimpaks. and everytime i found a weapon, it was almost broken. luck is very important.

It actually doesn't have anything to do with Yogi, though that's a common misconception. In Chinese, Yao Guai (妖怪) simply means "monster". In mythology, they are physical incarnations of the spirits of mistreated animals, or fallen divine animals. I would definitely say that Yao Guai are mistreated animals.
