Natalia Dravarol, Cartographer

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 2:50 pm

Hi everyone!

I've noticed that "Natalia Dravarol" is the cartographer responsible for the Elder Scroll maps.

There's not much more than a name at this stage, so this inspired me to do a concept illustration. The name is on both the maps of Cyrodiil and Skyrim, and judging by the time-span between the two games and her surname I'm guessing that she's a Dark Elf - Dunmer... Would you agree? A second opinion would be greatly appreciated :)

I do indeed think that she is probably a Dunmer. "Dravarol" sounds very Dunmeri. "Natalia" sounds more Imperial IMHO but it doesn't seem like it would be too unusual for a Dunmer woman. Good luck! :)

I guessed it was a real-world name of a person who made the map images?

Natalia Dravarol made Oblivion's map.

Nataly Dravarol (obviously a descendant) made Skyrims map.

The name has always struck me as Dunmeri though, no idea why.
