PS3 Slim 120 GB:
Fallout New Vegas for PS3: 16 hours played so far: 3/5ths of map covered
Crashes: 0. Zero crashes for 16 hours of gameplay. Zilch, none, nada. Not exaggerating either.
Glitches/Bugs: 1 that I can count. A bark Scorpion flies into the sky and lands.
Performance: While running outdoors, a slight millisecond hiccup in the frame rate as the scenery loads. Walking, the loading has time to catch up without a hiccup.
Graphics: 7/10. They're starting to look better as I progress. Some objects/scenery look great as in Fallout 3, some look flat and choppy. The enemies look good.
Sound: 7/10. Overall good. I usually turn the music off to experience the game as though I was actually in it, where there wouldn't be music playing as I was getting attacked. Sound FX are good.
Challenge: 7/10. Once I up the difficulty, I'm sure it will get tougher.
Interface: Aside from the complex ammo system, most of this is intuitive, especially if you're familiar with FO3. Leveling up is always fun. Nice stats and tons of perks, many returning from the previous game as well.
Weapons: 9/10. Some really unique and powerful weapons. There's a "Bumper Sword" in the game to own, that looks a bit like the one Cloud carries in FFVII. Very powerful.
Apparel: 9/10. Few games let you wear so many different outfits and combinations, each with something unique. The classic Wasteland Wanderer outfit give +1 to ENDURANCE and +1 to AGILITY, so I wear it most often and avoid having to spend two extra Special Points right there.
Save System: At level 12 so far, the files save size is about 4 MB. Lower than FO3's at that point I'd say.
This game started off kind of bland at GoodSprings, but once I got past the Primm Roller Coaster Mission, things really started to pick up. Some enemy monsters are brutal and vicious, including the Carazor Wasps, DeathClaws and Giant Radscorpion, even the Golden Geckos and Nightstalker dogs are tough to the point you'll die quickly if you're not smart, even on Very Easy. For the Giant Radscorpion, run backwards in a circle and he'll miss his stinger as you try to break down his thick armor. Nice to see familiar monsters return, with all the new ones.
The missions are fun, characters more interesting, stories good, I'm not bored, nor was I by Fallout 3. This game is definitely living up to the deep, epic experience of Fallout 3. I'm impressed with the PS3 version so far. Here's hoping it maintains this level of quality till the ending. Can't say how the PC or 360 versions are, but the PS3 is running great so far.
Overall Rating of FNV so far on the PS3: 9/10. Impressed, and there's a ton left to explore and find at only 16 hours in. :fallout: Thumbs up Obsidian, cool game.

PS3: Fallout 3
I have Fallout 3 on the PS3 (not the game of the year edition), and that game rarely crashed and the biggest glitch is during VATS, where it sometimes 'locks' when zoomed, but can easily be broken out of by zooming fully in and out one more time. Crashes when they occur once every 10 hours or so, usually freeze the screen for 40 to 50 seconds, after which gameplay resumes, as though you paused the screen. It's rare. Biggest problem is the Save File size, which gets over 12 MB+ at level 20. From what others have said, if I was getting the GOTY edition, I'd load one DLC per game and maybe avoid Broken Steel's level 30 cap as long as possible.
360: Fallout 3 GOTY
The 360 FO3 GOTY edition ran well, but crashed and had strange jutting objects from the sky and ground occur. Sling shotting enemies too. Disappearing scenery. Traded in after 360 red ringed 4th and final time I'd tolerate it. Got a PS3 Slim.
