Would it be a good idea to make spin off games

Imagine and entire game based on stealth characters, or a mages guild game for mages only. They could really develop some techniques and see how they worked before making TES6. Have some theives guild missions that required you to actually be sneaky - to climb roof tops and sneak in through windows. To avoid the light etc. Basically I'm thinking about Thief: Elder Scrolls, or a fighters guild where they actually fight rather than killing rats and clearing out basemants. A true mercenaries guild.

There's been two spin offs in the past, and experience tells Bethesda not to try doing any more.

Well in defense of that they were a different studio back then. Honestly it would be great to have more TES Legends and Adventures games.

The Apprentice is easily the most impressive hero to date. Just regular joe apprentice kicks the crap out of Daedra and Daedric princes with no special help from outside prophecies or anything. He also triumphs where all of the hardened Imperial Battlemages fail. Wish I played it :(

Cyrus is simply badass and there is no dancing around that. He is the one of make way. In other words gtfo or get trampled.

Besides it could take place in one city or in some way that truly gives us a real feel for the TES universe. Imagine a life sized TES city. Climbing all over the tops of Valenwoods Falinesti in search of the Imga rebellion(LOL!!). But seriously it could make this game so much more interesting and actually create some characters with real...character.

It could definitely prove more successful these days than it was some fourteen years ago. Bethesda's got money to burn on small projects now, it didn't back before Morrowind.

I'd like to see Bethesda make something a little on a smaller scale than their standard ES games. Like a game set in a section of the mainland of Morrowind during the Oblivion Crisis, or maybe even the Red Year? It's not like we know much about who lived and who died during either event. Could be interesting.

It also allows Bethesda to work on some other genres and maybe get some ideas on how to improve the main series. I really would not mind a game where I am playing a set character in the TES series and a story is told through my actions in an interesting way. Could be about a Hero of the Great War. Could be anything really. I think todays market could be very friendly to these spin offs.

They have learned the hard way not to make small games. In addition, I'd rather see a new fallout and a new full-TES that some small projects.
