Is modded MW more intensive than Crysis Warhead?

There is no reason to go over 60fps because LCD displays are limited to 60fps. Short of 120Hz models, but those are rare and expensive. That having said there is no upper limit in how much fps are needed. It depends on objects speed. To get fluid motion from a snail, you need 1fps. Filming some flying insects there are 5000fps cameras, really. Anyone saying humans cant see more than 24/30/60/x fps needs to be shot tbh, LOL. In gaming world, fast pacing games clearly benefit from having 100+fps. Im not sure where to place Morrowind.

However, there is a also side effect, which makes low fps desirable in immersive games.

Consider this:
You are playing in 1920x1080 and see a cliff racer crossing the screen in 1 second. To fluidly display that motion you will need 1920frames / 1sec= 1920 fps. Everything lower is a compromise between visual quality and performance.

What makes you think we'll always have LCD screens? Again, you're thinking in the present and I'm thinking 10 - 20 years from now.

There are already three different projects on the go.
http://openmw.sourceforge.net/jaws/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/aedra/
http://crystalscrolls.sourceforge.net/

As far as I know, all three are still active (I might not have found the most current links there, though)

You can see videos of them on YouTube. They are all still in the beginning stages, but this will really change what Morrowind can become, when they are done.

IIRC, PA and TCS are mostly dead (mainly because they were made by a single person), but OpenMW looks like it can actually succeed.

Yeah, because nothing speaks of death as much as "Last Update: 3 days ago"...

Because I want to, that's why. Deal with it. hah And you guys aren't really thinking outside the box. You think we're always going to have quad core 3.6 Ghz processors? In ten years time, we might have 100 Ghz or even teraherz processors which would allow games like Morrowind, despite it's bad engine, to run at 500 fps with land beyond distant and 100,000 trees placed in Hirstaag Forest. Don't look at the steps, look at the end of the staircase.

"Because I want to?" It's too not to by the way. :P. "Also Deal with it?" How rude. I love when people can't explain themselves they resort to being rude. All I did was ask a quesiton, how come you can't answer it? If you don't want to answer it, you don't have to be rude about it, all it makes you look like a dike or a [censored].

Also I don't understand about looking at the end of the staircase. We should be dealing with now, today, not what can be in 5, 10 or 20 years. Again, why if we can't see past 60 pfs, why do you need 80 fps. Have you ever thought, I asked so I could learn something? I wasn't making fun of you, I was really interested as to why.

What makes you think we'll always have LCD screens? Again, you're thinking in the present and I'm thinking 10 - 20 years from now.

What is the purpose of thinking 10-20 years from now? We are all talking about the now. Maybe if you actually explained yourself we can actually understand what you are trying to convey, instead of you mocking or talking down to us.

I dont understand. But in any case it is possible to get a 120fps LCD right http://hothardware.com/Reviews/Asus-VG236-120Hz-LCD-Monitor-Review/. Every LCD certified for nvidia's 3D Vision is 120fps. Or get a CRT. I have a Sony Trinitron 22'' 160fps display. no problem and i clearly can see the difference between 150fps and 160fps in games which my PC can run that fast, hehe. Except instead of cliff racers it has people running on screen. Bad people. With guns.

If nvidia stays on top, i guess we will see more 120Hz display goodness, otherwise as can be seen in this thread most people dont even realize the difference, so there is no reason to make them, since they are more expensive, even in 20 years. And the only reason nvidia pushes 120hz is because its 60x2 for stereo. Thank god it is also 120Hz regular.

To make movies/Virtual Reality perfect, you'd have to know what you want. To have a perfect illusion of everything that can flash, blink and move you shouldn't go below 500 fps. Morrowind however, doesn't have nearly as much movement as reality(virtual) or movies. You need to keep up with how fast the animations and speed everything of everything, which isn't saying much. Because everyone is claiming that 60 fps should be the max setting, I'm pushing it up to 70 just in case. By "pushing" it I'm underexaggerating considering how it was initially up to 240 FPS MAX.
