I recently bought the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition in germany via steam.
It was censored and the german voice acting was hideous, which complemented the bad grammar and abysmal dialogue perfectly. There was no option to change the language to english.

Apparently even steam agrees that the german version of Fallout 3 stinks to heaven, so they actually refunded me.

Now, since there is a completely uncensored Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition out, I'd like to know if there will be an uncensored and english language version for Fallout 3, too.

Very, very unlikely.

The UE version of New Vegas is the GOTY essentially. Fallout 3 already had one of those.

I believe the GOTY for Fallout 3 was the last edition for it. Bethesda is not know for supporting their old games so I doubt there will be any more work done on Fallout 3.

In answer to your question, yes, there already is a complete, english, uncensored version of Fallout 3. It is Fallout 3, Game of the Year Edition. This is the final version of Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 GOTY is really just another way of saying it's the Fallout 3 Ultimate Edition.

Or vice versa, like Fallout: New Vegas GOTY.

But that svcks that the German version is so bad at translation and grammar.

Imagine everyone calling you "Sir", even in the intro where you're a teen.

I wouldn't be able to stand it. It's probably almost unreadable at times. In Fallout 3 the dialogue is essential for me to play.

I did read something about this a long time ago. I think it was something like the German version is horrible and most people choose to play the uncensored Austrian version instead.

They managed to release Fallout New Vegas with multiple languages and uncensored in germany. They could simply reapply for Fallout 3 to be released as intended.

It is highly unlikely that this would happen. Fallout 3, GOTY, was copyrighted in 2009, a very long time ago in the game world. There is no economical reason for Bethesda to go to the expense.

oh well, steam refunded me so i can live with that. maybe i'll pick it up from a uk ebay bargain bin or something.

This will simply never happen. You are better off buying a disc copy of the game off of Amazon or Ebay from a seller in a country where they sell the uncensored version.
