after putting alot of time in skyrim, decided to play fallout 3 again and gotta say its refreshing to ineract with the NPC's in fallouts world, i loved skyrim and all but you dont appreciate the life and animation fallouts NPC's have until you put time in skyrim. Really diggin' the wackyness of these NPC's.

Yea that's why I give Beth props for doing such a good job on the Fallout series thus far.

*SPOILER*

Even Harold from the previous Fallout is in it. I haven't found Oasis yet. I heard it's kind of hard to find.

Harold is not Liam Neeson.

Spoiler
He's a mutant from Fallout 1 and 2. He's not a super mutant though.

Harold was a Ghoul with a tree growing out of his head. He was also in Brotherhood of Steel but it seems to be a sin to mention that game and Fallout in the same sentence.

He's not a ghoul, he just looks like one.

And the Burned Game is attrocious.

If you are a fan of the Original Fallout, you will not like what you see when you find Oasis. Why was he even in Fallout 3? Why

Spoiler
he's a gaint mutant tree, with some tree huggin cult living with him.

On topic: If you find the NPC in Fallout 3 refreshing to talk to, check out Fallout, Fallout 2 and New Vegas and play Tactics..

As already pointed out. The Burned Game isn't canon, so therefore Harold was never a member of the BoS. He just shouldn't have been in Fallout 3. It was an attempt at fan serivce and like manything in Fallout 3, Beth managed to screw that up.

To me Harold as he is in Fallout 3 is right up there with Mothership Zeta. Best left forgotten, sent to the land of wind and ghosts to join the Burned Game.

You may have difficulty playing Fallout 1 + 2 as it's not the same Gameplay style as Fallout 3. Fallout New Vegas is pretty much exactly the same Gameplay as Fallout 3, just with extra things.

Personally, NV is better in some aspects, but its too linear for me. Never saw it as a roleplaying game, just another FPS

Fallout New Vegas linear? Just a FPS? :swear:
Fallout New Vegas gives you many ways to play the game. Three main factions to side with and a way to do it all on your own. Pretty much every quest has more than one way to finish it, including a "talk your way out of it." You can join or help pretty much every Faction in the game, even if they are "good, bad or just ugly."

Fallout 3, you are forced to join the BoS every time. You are forced to destroy the Enclave everytime. You can't side with Enclave or Talon Company. There is little "talk your way out of it options." The whole game is Good vs Evil and you can't side with Evil.

Seriously guy, look up the meaning of Linear.

Fallout 3 is the linear first person shooter. As someone put it "A hiking simulator"

New Vegas is the least linear game I have ever played. It's the most RPG like game Bethesda has ever been associated with. In what way did you find it difficult to role play?

Seriously, like when you talk to Colonel Autumn:

"I don't want to fight you, Colonel"

"Well too bad, just stand there and let me kill you"

Killing Colonel Autumn is not the only option. In my current file I let him go. Sarah did not like it and I think I will regret it later. Anyway when you loot his body and get his gun the body is marked as "Enclave Soldier". So I guess you actually kill a clone or a double at the purifier.

No you won't regret it later. He never returns after the end of the main story. And you fight the actual colonel Autumn in the purifier. It isn't a clone or a double, just an oversight by Bethesda.
