Just wanted to post on the forums about a rock remix we did recently and get some feedback and critique. It's our first remix we've done so go easy on us =)

We decided to try and stick to the original composition as close possible as we felt it was arranged brilliantly by Jeremy Soule. This is basically an appreciation of his arrangement.

I gotta admit, I was listening to Supa Scoopa and Mighty Scoop by Kyuss, so whatever comes next is going to pale in comparison.

In all honesty though, pretty good stuff! From one musician to another, you guys seem to know your instruments well and the piece is done rather well. It feels like it's missing "something", but I don't know what that "something" is though. Nonetheless, awesome job. I enjoyed it and it has now been liked and saved for future listening.

P.S. Give my kudos to your drummer.

its missing vocals and violins.... thats probably why, but we didn't attempt the vocals because we didn't think we could even come close to emulating a 100 man choir lol

We recorded a demo track first, and then got the drums down. Once they were done we layered on the bass and guitar parts. I have Pro Tools LE.
