i got fallout: new vages for my 360 but i don't have xbox live, so if anyone can tell me how to download and put the patch onto my 360 without using xbox live would be great.

you do not need a gold account to get updates... as long as u have a silver account (ie... free and takes bugger all time to set up) you will get the patch.. just plug it in.

better don't install the patch at the moment, some people seem to have freezing problems after updating.

meaning i dont have my xbox on the net at all so a sliver account is still out of it.

From a vague memory, you may be able to find and download the patches on your PC (I'm presuming you're posting here from a PC you have connected to the net) and burn them to a disc which you then use to patch the game. I could be wrong about this as my 360 is connected to the net, which means I've not had to try to check/test what I've mentioned out.

I'll do a check on the xbox site and see if I can confirm what I think I seem to remember.

Edit: Of course from the quick search of the xbox site, I did find that you could update the xbox itself via that method but not whether you could apply patches the same way or not.

Even if you download the new patch and it adds problems to your gameplay - you can remove the downloaded patch and play as before. I think you just have to disconnect from Xbox Live so it won't demand you re-download the patch or something along those lines..

If your able to Connect your Xbox360 HDD to your PC then i could provide you the Title Update.

DO NOT install the patch.
Better off without it until they release a better one.
people been experiencing freezing when loading the game.

A friend with a laptop that has a a wireless modem and ICS (internet connection sharing) enabled will do the trick. (That's how I get my updates but it is MY laptop, lol.)

just take your xbox to a mates or something... hook up... get the update...
