Morrowind MOON SUGAR issue

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 1:20 pm

You know how some shops (Arille) won't let you barter while you are carrying moon sugar? Well I don't have any moon sugar on me, and Arille still won't serve me.

I really like this game and don't want to stop playing it because some stupid issue like this annoys me. Though, when an assassin came into the inn and had his arm glitched through the door, and I could shoot him with an arrow..maybe that's karma.

Any ideas or similar issues? I'm really surprised this hasn't come up yet.

Have you checked so you don′t have any Skooma or any Skooma paraphernalia ?

Hey, I just re-started the game up and 2 moon sugars were there that weren't there before. I was going to record it to show proof. Like I said, the inventory issue hasn't come up in this forum yet, which surprises me.

*thinking about starting a website that focuses strictly on game issues. Are we few the only ones who notice these things?

We already have that for this game, it′s called Morrowind Hardware and Software Issues

Glad your problem worked out.

Hardware and software issues cover in-game exploits and glitches? I will check that out. I'll continue reporting, I'm pretty thorough and have a lot of time on my hands.

It's pretty easy to pick things like that up with other loot, without noticing. I'm not sure how randomized the stuff in the containers is, during the character generation "tutorial." Maybe moonsugar can spawn there... It's certainly in that first Bandit Cave, and also in the nearby shipwreck.

It can spawn in the customs office sacks and barrels in the back room. Rare but happens since it is in the leveled lists

Yeah, I figured that was the case. I'm betting that's where it came from.

I find Moon Sugar basically everywhere in caves. Even on Solstheim. http://images.uesp.net/d/d6/BM-npc-Uncle_Sweetshare.jpg :D

He he! Ha ho! / To the workshop he will go! / My Uncle's candy is so sweet! / It's such a yummy winter's treat! / When the sugar is warmed by the pale hearth light / The happiness spreads throughout the night! / He he! Ha ho! / To the workshop he will go! / Uncle Sweetshare is coming near / To spread his candy and his cheer! / It's better than trinkets, games or toys / So say all the little girls and boys! / He he! Ha ho! / To the workshop he will go! / Candy, candy -- he makes so much! / Uncle Sweetshare has a magic touch! / So it's back to the workshop in the snow! / With lovely lanterns all aglow! / He he! Ha ho! / He he he ha ha ho!

*ahem* Absolutely. Easy to pick up Moon Sugar as random loot if you don't look at what you're getting. We others certainly don't seem to have had items-miraculously-popping-to-our-inventory problems in our years of playing. So, yeah...

Honest, Officer! I must have accidentally picked it up with the Ash Yams.

In shops where I forget until the merchant reminds me, I just put moon sugar and skooma on the counter right in front of the merchant and the guard; then do business....no problem.
Then a lot of times I forget to pick it up on the way out. :hehe:

This game is such a pleasant retreat from Gears of War. The spoilers are sometimes too much, I have to cover my eyes...

My current character, Bettilde, recently spent some quality time buzzing around one of those guys (she likes to levitate just a few inches off the ground, zipping around and annoying the public.) He had several choice things to say about her.

I'm pretty sure they're all talk and no action. ;)

Haha, I'm getting the reverse... I'm thinking of getting a Call of Duty game, my first one, just to have some mindless fun between ridiculously deep RPGs (Deus Ex, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Morrowind, Skyrim, KotOR etc) :P

Well I took it straight off the wiki. I can′t tell as it has been ages since my character encountered an ordinator.

I've occasionally what those Ordinators did in their time off. What with all that moon sugar about, I think we may have our answer.
