Running is slow in Fallout 3 : Fallout 3

So I started a new playthrough in Fallout 3 and I realized that the running is pretty slow.

Is there any button I can push to make my guy run faster or is that based on my stats?

Should be able to up your strength attribute so you can carry more, which would give you "space" to be able to run faster.

There is a sprint mod at the nexus if you have it for the PC. And you can put away your weapon to run a tad bit faster but other than that it is the way it is.

Doesn't agility affect speed? I thought it did, I may be wrong.

Sorry I never paid attention to the running speed as I was always too busy searching house after house and actually esploring.

The running is very slow when compared to other shooting games. As Roughnecks has said, try a mod or put your weapon away for a bit more speed.

The running is slow compared to Skyrim. Agility does not affect running speed, but putting your gun away will make you run faster.

Just grab a knife, it makes you run faster

It did in CS at least

Being close to the carry limit reduces your running speed (so increasing your weight capacity or traveling lighter helps), as does wearing heavy armor or having your weapon out. I don't think Agility affects running speed.

After just playin' New Vegas & then startin' up a game of 3; I can say that 3 is much slower. I kept thinkin' my guy was in sneak mode, cause he ws movin' so slow.

I hated how slow I was walking so I checked around and found this solution. Open the console and type "player.setav speedmult 150" without the quotes. The default setting is 100. You can set it to anything that suits you but if set too high it can mess with the animations. :bolt:

If you have your weapon out you will run slower, otherwise its not that bad IMO.

Weapon being drawled & carry weight are the major factors in F.O. 3, agility oddly plays no effect.

If you plan on running, drop your weight down.

Fallout 3 isn't a "shooting game"
