No Auto Aim is not saved

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 3:09 am

I downloaded and installed Mr Slackpants No Auto Aim mod but when I checkmark it in the launcher it′s not saved. I exit the Data Files and immediately re-enter and it′s unchecked. It′s never saved. What is wrong?

Same thing with other esp:s.

ah, I saw the PM before the thread

Sounds more of a launcher issue so I'd try another launcher third party launchers can offer greater flexibility that the default one is able to do

I tried FOMM and it seems to save allright. Guess I′ll have to see if it works while playing.

Thanks buddy! :foodndrink:

Off to play now

Question: Do I have to start the game via FOMM in order for the mod to kick in or can I go the regular way?

If the mod requires Fose , you need to launch with Fose or via the Fose option in Fomm.

It does not, or at least there′s no mention of FOSE. I just need some clear verification that the mod works and not just sits there. It is checkmarked in FOMM but not in the regular launcher as it won′t be saved there for some reason.

Since the mod is checked in FOMM and you start the game through FOMM, all of the files you have checked in FOMM are activated when you launch the game. The mods are not check in the regular launcher because everytime you open that part of the launcher, everything is unchecked. When you check the files in the regular launcher and close, they will remain active until you open that part again.

Maybe its just me , but ive never experienced that. To unactivate any Mod/DLC in the game launcher. I would have to open then uncheck.

I did experience this happening to my DLC's one time, where they would always uncheck them selves. (this was after reinstall of game but didnt put the second disk in) Cuz it seemed to show they were there. However the guts of the files were not there so it kept doing that.

So Im just guessing this behavior with the Game launcher is a symptom of the mods not being installed correctly???

Unlikely since it′s a very simple mod and you really can′t do anything wrong. It′s a single file installed in the Data map and it appears in the regular launcher, so it should stay checked when I re-enter Data Files. But I will try as suggested and check it in the regular launcher and close and don′t re-enter Data Files.
