Not enough gold?

I found a good amount of items that are woth 10k+. The problem is that I have no idea where I can sell them at. Every time I try to sell these items to people they never have enough gold in order for me to sell it. I know that there is a scamp or "creeper", I found him and he still couldn't buy the items. If anyone could tell me where I can sell 10k+ plus items then that would mean a lot.

There is no trader more efficient than the Creeper. There are other merchants but they either offer bad prices, or are at the edge of the world. Creeper on the other hand is always only few teleports away. Decorate the house, what do you need the money for.

Well there is another way. Say for example a store keeper only has 5000 gold to sell. So sell him 5000 worth of gold. Wait 24 hours, come back and he has 5000 gold again. now buy 5000 worth of stuff, now he has 10 000 gold. Now sell him your 10 000 worth of stuff.. Wait 24 hours, now he has 5000 gold again. Now the stuff you bought from him before 5000 you can sell back to him again, so you sold your sword for 10 000 and the 5000 you had to buy orignally. It just takes some time to do.

You can keep doing this till he gets like 50 000 so you can finally get full price for that 50 000 item if you have one.

To reword what Davor said, you can BARTER. Sell your expensive item for a combination of gold and a few less-expensive items. For really high-priced items, it may take several days and trades to "pump up" a merchant's inventory enough for him to have "change".

But why. Money is useless in the game. sure first time i played i also got like 20 millions. Now i just keep 40k and on an odd day sell things to creeper then im up to it. The rest just gets stashed.

If you're more bothered about getting rid of ludicrously expensive clutter than getting good prices I recommend Mournhold. Most of the merchants have over 8k each and generally they'll give you half of an item's worth in my experience, obviously dependant on stuff like personality and mercantile. You can combine this with Davor's trick to get rid of that impossibly overpriced daedric stuff as well.

Don't forget to take seemingly unique artifacts to the museum there, they give half the value of any item they accept except for items worth more than 60k, they 'only' net you 30k maximum each.

It's not really cheating if all you are doing is saving time then. I know it's not fun doing the wait, so what ever adds more fun is always better. :D

Wait a sec. That bug was fixed by the Morrowind Code Patch. So if you can mod, you can get rid of it if you want. :)

I don't use that patch. I like sticking to Vanilla for the most part, and the mods I use just add fun content.

What's so great about the unpatched game?

And are you playing vanilla or using mods? Can't have it both ways.

Pretty much unpatched Vanilla. I've added only the Master Index mod, and one extra cave. What's so great about it? I can't say anything beyond the fact that it's fun for me. :shrug: My point about mods and patches, is that I don't use mods that try to 'fix' Morrowind.

If you end up bartering with Creeper I suggest investing some time on raiding Dwemer ruins for Dwemer coins. They are each worth 50 Drakes and can make bartering with Creeper a lot less of a hastle, if I want to sell an item that is worth 10K gold I can for example sell Creeper 100 Dwemer Coins, then wait 24 hours and buy them back while selling the 10K item, then you just sell the Dwemer coins again in 24 hours, if you have large stockpiles of Dwemer coins it becomes a lot less of a hassle. To take some other number like just say 17K you can end up selling 100 coins a day for a few days until you have no more coins, then you can just sell the item while buying back 240 Dwemer coins (17.000-240x50=5000) and then repeat the "sell coins each day" process.

It's much better for my Roleplay if a creeper had oodles of cash than waiting days and days just to sell an item.

It is just as possible to check other merchants like that alchemist in Balmora, who has 3k gold and buys potions. Creeper is just the best merchant, if he is gone, people will go to the next best merchant and so on.

if ur on PC get the morrowind code patch.. theres a trapdoor in seyda neen you can sell any amount of stuff too. Although there 1'000000000000 gold in a chest there anyway making all looting redundant.
