you really shouldnt have selected the canibal perk. Your stomach cant handle gore bags.

No seriously , does anything else on your comp make you sick? and is this the only fps your playing?

all my fpses are pretty "normal".CSS,DoD,TF2 no probs.

How could I even get the cannibal perk if I havent stepped foot outside the vault?

I think you are right about the FOV. I have the game set to 1080p and it looks like a fisheye lens on a camera. The corners are all stretched out and distorted. The only other game I have like this was HL2 and both give me a headache. I was going to try upping the FOV to 85 but not sure if that gets rid of the distorted picture. What is strange is I own the 360 version as well and it does not have this issue to the same degree. I guess I can try running the PC version at 720p if the FOV change does not work.

It happens on PC and not X-Box because you sit WAY closer to your monitor than your TV. The field of view for Fallout 3 is 75 degrees, which is pretty standard and generally alright if you're sitting on a couch in your living room, but when it's in a computer chair a few feet from the screen it makes some people feel sick.

This is a documented phenomenon for video games and I'm really upset that due to the consolification of Bethesda's mindset nowadays they didn't even consider it to be an issue. Basically what happens is that since the computer monitor takes up way more than 75 degrees of your vision, but the screen shows only that much of a field of view, your brain wants to "pull back" your vision and your head starts to feel funny.

A more normal FOV for computer games is 85-90 degrees. When you play the game, open up the console and type:

fov 90

That should stop the motion sickness and give you a better view of the action. You could also try sitting really far back, but that requires wireless input devices and a pretty decent monitor.
