Shrapnel weapon pack, CaliberX?

Having spotted this mod on NVNexus, and liking what I saw, I was on my way to click the download button when I read that it requires CaliberX.

Thats a problem, cause isnt CaliberX a patch or two behind and is no longer being maintained?

Sidequestion: Any way to extract key weapons from this mod (including the effects, my main problem) for personal use (not intending to share it, just want to remove the CaliberX requirement and/or sort it out so I can grab what I want from it, effects included)? I am familar with the use of the GECK, and copy-pasting data entries, assigning meshes/textures, and creating the weapon in the worldspace isnt an issue. The issue I have is with the effects that are custom-set for the guns in the package.

When you open the weapon properties in the GECK, you can change the ammo type, and use it then without CaliberX.
