What's the difference between these two releases? Both have the latest fixes and updates?

Essentially it's GOTY with the "making of" documentary disc in a fancy case. Oh, and a $10 coupon for Skyrim.

In a nutshell, yes. Although I didn′t get the coupon but I don′t care for that one anyway. The 5th A has, besides the documentary disc, a heavily shortened manual. Don′t know why they did that :blink:

That's odd. I wonder if it was due to some regional lock on Skyrim at the time?

But you're right; There really isn't a point to the "coupon" as from what I understand you have to buy both Skyrim at full retail and the strategy guide. $10 isn't much of any savings imo.

[edit]

@rjstone;

Just get the GOTY version. It's usually $10 cheaper for the same content. Unless you want that "making of" disc (which if it is the same one released with the collectors edition, isn't worth the added cost).

Yeah, really annoys me that they only way to get them are through the KOTN disc or on Steam.

You can't still buy them from Bethesda.com or whatever, can you?

Yeah, no kidding. But as a price point for the content it's actually very weak, even more so that this is four years after the PS3 port... One which left a few game killing bugs and no DLC.

It's still not available on Bethesda's store, but can be had with the deluxe edition on steam (PC and English only).
