So basically I purchased Fallout 3 GOTY on Direct 2 Drive (perhaps not the smartest decision) early last year. Played it for some time, advancing about 20% of the way into the game, DLC working fine as well. I ran into a motherboard issue around that time, and had to send my machine in for repair. I lost all data on that machine. It has been a while since everything was repaired, and I had neglected reinstalling Fallout 3 GOTY until recently. I went back to D2D, downlaoded the game and the DLC, reinstalled, and found that the launcher crashed. I click play, the launcher disappers, and nothing happens. It doesn't even show up in task manager as a process. I know it's not my system specs, as I had the exact same setup last time, and the launcher istelf set my settings to "high". I did a full reinstall, including the dlc, but this time tried the game before installing the DLC. It ran fine. I install the DLC, check all the Data boxes for them, and I'm back to square one. Click play, launcher disappears, and....nada. Anyone have any idea what in the world could be going on here?
