Goodsprings Convention

Settle down, I'm Canadian. What I was saying was that my lineup of classes isn't as difficult as I had previously thought. Calling myself a "genius" was a little jokey joke, which is supposed to be funny because I had overestimated how hard and time consuming school was going to be, and yet I find it easy. JUST in case that wasn't clear.

And Sebor, should probably pass on that, I doubt there's gonna be enough interest in it to fill up more than 3 or 4 roles.

Hey!
I'm American and I don't think I'm a genius when I get a 95 on a test at school, school's easy, I think I'm a genius when I compare brains to my uncle who's a Harvard graduate and I seem to know as much as him in many fields, more in many other.

There are exceptions of course, such as yourself and other people on the forums.

I mean, if you go to an average American with a 95 on test they will say "OH YEAH IM THE SMARTEST PERSON IN THE WORLD!!!!" when really, they're not compared to other countries.

This thread got so off topic.

I have to agree with you there, some people in my school think that getting a 75 on a Math test makes them smart.

This thread did get off topic.

What are we going to do about the Conventions?

It might be a good idea to wait a bit before starting another one. Either that or drastically change the topic of discussion.

I won't have any real free time until summer, but I could probably keep up with a minor role until then -- if someone were to start a new convention that is.

My suggestion would be to wait a while before starting a new convention, as a lot of people seem to be weighed down by second semester at this point.

Are you talking about High School or College? Because there are a lot of good colleges in America. Your post is impressive as far as arrogance goes, so I'll give you points for that.

As far as High School goes, well, I can't really say since my High School is absolutely awful when it comes to getting a good education, but I'm sure there are good ones somewhere in America.

Both, colleges seem good, but not really. Compared to other countries they're like elementary school.

I went to college in Russia for 2 years, moved to America, took college for another 2 years, and thought the education was a joke. Here I was not knowing any English, being the top student in the class.

It's embarrasing. I was in the top college for my state also.
