Addictive Fallout3 music

Post » Thu Nov 12, 2009 11:05 pm

I'm a first-time poster and just want to say that I am an avid PC gamer (RPG's especially) and I must say that, right now, it's Fallout3 or nothin
for me for the last 3 months.

Anyway the reason for my post: I couldn't get the Fallout 3 GNR songs out of my head, so I made a CD compilation to reflect my "Fallout Experience". I
extracted the songs from sounds.bsa, using the Oblivion Mod Manager (found at tesnexus.com and installed to my Fallout3 folder). The tracks are
taken from GNR songs, Enclave patriotic tunes, and Agatha's violin music.

I'm sure that uploading the tracks themselves would violate some copyright law, but here is the song list if you want make one for yourself:

1. inkspots_idont
2. enclave_battlehymn
3. violin_noodling_01_radio
4. generic_swingdoors
5. roybrown_butcher
6. enclave_montezuma
7. violin_noodling_02_radio
8. generic_jazzy
9. billieholiday_crazy
10. billieholiday_easy
11. enclave_dixie
12. violin_noodling_05_radio
13. generic_fox
14. coleporter_anything
15. dannykaye_civilization
16. enclave_yankee
17. violin_noodling_02_radio
18. generic_jolly
19. ellafitzgerald_into
20. bobcrosby_way
21. enclave_stars
22. violin_noodling_03_radio
23. generic_rhythmforyou
24. generic_sunning
25. texbeneke_guy
26. bobcrosby_happy
27. enclave_washington
28. violin_noodling_06_radio
29. generic_boogie
30. roybrown_mighty
31. generic_pink
32. enclave_america
33. violin_partitano3gigue_bach_radio
34. inkspots_maybe

The song order is meant to loosely reflect what I imagine might have happened in the Fallout world: First, the bombs falling, the devastation.
Then, the struggle to survive in the desolation. Finally, a small ray of hope for the future.

Enjoy!

P.S. - Please accept my apologies if this has already been done by someone else.

I agree that the soundtrack was really great, and is one of the design choices that I appreciate Bethesda for doing. I knew they were going to include I Don't Want To Set the World On Fire, but I didn't realize that they'd go further and include a whole soundtrack of 50's songs. :tops:
